Let's kick off the new year with a renewed and refreshed take on the way we approach our life and work!

This workshop will offer information on the connection between nutrition and our cognitive function and productivity and how to stay consistent with good habits when life gets hectic. Examples of healthy (and easy) meals and snacks will be discussed as well. Topics to be covered include:

  • Why nutrition is important for focus and productivity 
  • The importance of blood sugar stability for focus, energy, and mood
  • Specific nutrients that boost brain function
  • How gastrointestinal health factors into brain function
  • How to build a healthy meal or snack for stable blood sugar (with specific examples)
  • Best and worst beverages for focus and productivity
  • How to be consistent with healthy habits
What will be explored in this workshop:

The Role of Nutrition in Productivity (ex: blood sugar and energy/focus, specific nutrients to support cognitive function, gastrointestinal health)

Examples of Healthy Meals and Snacks to Support Productivity

Best and Worst Beverages for Productivity

Meal Makeover Activity (interactive)

How to be Consistent with Healthy Habits

Join us at Allendale Bar & Grill in The Connolly Room for a plated lunch, cash bar, networking and presentation. 


About the Presenter:

Jessica Cording, MS, RD, CDN, INHC is a registered dietitian, health coach, and author with a passion for helping people simplify their wellness routine by building sustainable healthy habits. In her work, she focuses on the connections between nutrition, lifestyle, and mental health. Through her writing, consulting, public speaking, and counseling, she works with individuals, corporations, and the media to help make drama-free healthy living approachable and enjoyable. She is the author of The Little Book of Game-Changers: 50 Healthy Habits For Managing Stress & Anxiety and The Farewell Tour: A Caregiver’s Guide To Stress Management, Sane Nutrition, and Better Sleep.

 

She also runs the Drama-Free Healthy Living podcast and has recorded guided meditations for Simple Habit. She also has created educational content for CARAVAN Wellness. Cording is a part of the mindbodygreen Collective and a frequent contributor to various media outlets such as Forbes, SHAPE, and more. As a speaker, she has presented to a wide variety of organizations, such as the US ARMY, Corner Market Communications, William Grant and Sons, and more.

 

Additionally, a big believer in the mental and physical benefits of exercise, she is a certified Pilates mat instructor. She also is a certified reiki practitioner.
